August -2012

Have I ever mentioned how much I love Summer. I love the Sun, the time with family, the beach trips, the soft serve ice cream and icees. I love having fun with my kiddies! One of our favorite places to go during the Summer in Cincinnati is the wet playground at Winton Woods. It's a little spray park and has perfect spots for big and small children. After Clark got over his icee he really enjoyed playing in the water. (:

Every year Eric's company sponsers a day at Coney Island which is a small amusement park near us. We love going there. Here are the kids with some friends that we met up with there.

Clark on the paddle boats. He was so stinkin cute in his life jacket. And too scared to move, which helped him not fall off the boat. haha.

 One of the rides...

Clark is becoming quite the handful these days. His favorite pastimes are making messes and giving attitude.

 Mess:
 Attitude:
But how can I stay mad at my little prince, really.

More summer fun, in the backyard.

Wyatt with one of his best friends from pre school, Zachary.

Uncle Andy and Aunt Staci came for a visit and guess who became buddies with his Uncle?

Eric surprised us one day when we came home to this tent in the backyard. We went camping that night. Super fun.

Silly boy, Clark loves to dress up
Our garden did suffer due to lack of rain this year but we managed to get some tomatoes and a couple HUGE zucchini's.

Sadly the Summer fun is coming to an end. But the school fun begins! Wyatt started kindergarten at the same school Bianca goes to and I am thrilled to say that he LOVES it. He came home the first day and said, "Mom, I had a great day today!" He doesn't say things like that, not even when we took him to Disneyland! He must like to use his brain or something.
And Bianca has loves school since Kindergarten as well. She was very excited to go. I happened to be at her school on her first day because I was meeting with Wyatt's teacher and so I asked the principal if I could take her home instead of having her take the bus. She was called to the office but started crying when she saw me saying that she was supposed to help a new boy on the bus and she wanted to take the bus home. Clearly she did not miss me as much as I missed her that day. (: I sent her back to class to take the bus.

And last but not least Eric got to go to his first political rally! Mitt Romney visited Cincinnati! Eric got to shake his hand and was very pleased with himself, and the catch phrase that he made up which was that he got to shake Mitt's mitt. Eric said there were many supporters there and the energy level was super high. He was on beaming when he got home. In case you didn't know Eric is very much into politics.... And taking funny pictures obviously.

All in all I'd say a fantastic Summer. I am sad to see it go. ):
