Crazy story that I want to remember, and you can stop reading if you've already heard about this on facebook. So I took the kids down numerous times throughout the game to walk around, use the bathroom, and gets snacks. The last time we went down to get some ice cream, then Bianca had to go to the bathroom so we went into the bathroom, I had ice creams in both hands and my wallet under my arm. Bianca went into the stall and Wyatt proceeded to pull down his pants and take his diaper off to use the potty. (We are potty training at home). I told him not to do that, and that he was to wear a diaper tonight. But he headed towards the stall, bare butt, diaper on the floor. I rushed to get the diaper off the floor, put the ice creams down on a paper towel and my wallet on top of the paper towel dispenser. I put his diaper back on, washed his hands, got Bianca taken care of, then picked up my things and left. The next morning when I went to leave the house I couldn't find my wallet. Then I remember the bathroom incident and I knew I had left it. I started to panic, I called Eric, and he said he would call the stadium, lost and found ect. Then I prayed. And then I worried, and prayed again, then worried again, started planning all the phone calls I was going to have to make if I never saw that wallet again.
I kept texting Eric, asking if he'd heard anything. Finally around noon he told me that they found it. Someone had turned it in early in the game and they thought I would have come for it that night. AND it had everything in it, nothing missing.
I'm so grateful to whomever turned it in. It would have been easy for them to just ignore it and leave it there, or to take it home, or trash it even. Someone made an extra effort to take it to lost and found. Leaving me with the impression that there are still so many decent honest people left in the world, (despite what all my Philosophy and English teachers taught me) and giving me hope in mankind.
I'm grateful to God for hearing my prayer, and answering it, even though there was some doubt in my heart. He sure showed me, and I'm glad to have had this humbling experience. One of the many I've had in my life and I'm sure there will be plenty more to come. Awww yeah suckas. (=
Those darn English teachers!
