Most of the reason for this blog is for our kids to have a record of how they were when they were young. Trust me I am so sick of balloons myself but referring to the previous sentence I know I need to talk about Wyatt's obsession with them. When he was around 1 he loved balls, soccer balls, bouncy balls, basketballs, ball pits.. Then came the balloons. And I know some of it is my fault because I keep buying them but it has become standard protocol as my brother in law once said, to have at least one helium balloon in the house. During the summer he wanted me to blow up water balloons every day and I caught him hiding them in his pacifier, not a very safe thing to do....

The amazing thing is that one balloon can keep Wyatt busy ALL day, he has lots of different things he does with them. He hides them, as seen above. He hides with them as seen below. This was a funny thing for him to do. We were playing hide and seek and he didn't think we would find him under this blue bucket but the balloon kind of gave him away. haha.

If he has more than one, which he usually does, he will collect them and then hand them out....

Another thing he likes to do is take water balloons (filled with air) and divide them into bowls or cups....

And last but not least he enjoys hanging them on the kitchen cabinets. Sometimes I'll be cooking dinner and he gets right in front of me and says, "Scuse me Mommy, I'm playing balloons."

Since he has been talking more he has started asking that we go to the dollar store daily to get balloons. I try to limit it to one every few weeks. Another little fun fact on the subject, whenever we are out ANYWHERE, Wyatt will find a balloon in the rafters, restaurants, shopping malls, grocery stores, you can count on it. So if you are ever wondering what to get this boy for any occasion, I think you already know the answer. (:
