Snow Days

Dear snow, please stop!!!! (:
The last couple of winters here weren't bad at all. We had snow stick maybe 3 days. This winter has been different. We've had quite a few snow days, which means we are in the house, no preschool, kids are constantly eating and fighting yadda yadda. So it finally did stop snowing but not without leaving a reminder. Today we decided to make the best of it and play outside.

Have you heard, I've recently become good with a shovel, who knew? The first couple of times I woke up the next morning with a sore back and my arm was shaky when I used it. Now I can shovel without even feeling it, oh yeah. Not sure if that is really something to be proud of.

I try to help out where I can. See, the snow plow is great for the middle of the street but ends up shoveling all the snow up against our mailboxes. This is the hardest part to shovel by hand because it's all packed in tight with big chunks of ice. Notice I didn't quite make it to the mailbox.

Here is Wyatt looking as cute as ever in his snow gear, shoveling with a spoon. Ok so I couldn't find the sand toys, it's called improvising people! My poor children.

This was the horrific day, President's Day when noone went to work but Eric. Not even the snow plowers. He learned his lesson, what do they say about the good guys? It took him mostly with a little help from me about an hour and a half to get the car into the garage. First we just tried to get it into the driveway because a UPS truck came too close to hitting us on our street. That was pretty crappy.

Happy February ya'll!

  2. I told Eric to take the day off and do something presidential. Maybe he'll pay more attention next year and join me in Crawford.

Eric went to work on Pres. Day? What was he thinking? Rob worked from home on Monday and Tuesday (which was good, cause the kids were nuts, with all the days off, and I was Done with them). ... More snow supposed to come this weekend. Who's excited?!
