Eric's parents started the tradition with us of getting a Costco gingerbread house kit and making it together. I think this is the first year we've done it without them. Kind of sad, but it was still fun. Usually Margrit and I let the kids do a few things and then "fix" them. But I decided to let the kids do whatever they wanted this year. They really enjoyed themselves and it was very entertaining to watch. Here are some samples of their artistic abilities:

The trees were slowly making thier way down to the bottom, where they were supposed to be. (:

This was the first year Wyatt did it and he kept at it even after Bianca was done. He loves working with little things and making them just right.

I got out our writing frosting, they really loved that..

I told Wyatt to say cheese and this smirk is what I got. Typical.

Yay for gingerbread houses! It's a great activity to get the family together.
The oozing green frosting in the first picture is a little Nightmare Before Halloween-ish! Awesome. I'm impressed Wyatt was so into it!
ReplyDeleteAnd that smirk is totally Eric.
Oh. I meant Nightmare before Christmas. Oops.
ReplyDeleteThat is a really cool tradition!
