Trunk or Treat and Orchard

It's starting to get colder here in Cincinnati. For about a week now we've had frost on our grass in the mornings. This is our backyard. The frost looks really cool to me, you can see it a little in this picture.

So I got this new recipe from a friend for caramel and after I made it once I was addicted. Seriously I can't stop eating it. I'm trying to find anything and everything to put it on. This last time I did apples, caramel corn, and then I heated it up a little longer and made caramel candy. Soooo good. I can feel myself getting bigger as I eat it though, I really need to stop. Either that or start excercising. (:

We went to Irons Fruit Farms this weekend. Our main desire was to pick apples but they were already all picked! So we went out to the pumpkin patch. It was very cold and muddy. The kids were shivering but we made a memory. We want it to be a tradition, going to the Orchard every year. Next year we will just go sooner in Oct.

Here we are taking the hay ride to the pumpkin patch. Eric's eyes still had some remnants of his Halloween costume from the night before.

Here is a lovely picture of the Deans. hehe. That was candid, can you tell? Danielle was smart and put Luci in long johns and her winter coat.

Friday night we had our ward trunk or treat. There was a chili cook off and then games in the church for the kids. This is the cake walk to "Monster Mash", it was a graveyard smash.

Here is Matty, Bianca's best bud. He was a transformer.

Eric and I didn't come up with any costume ideas so we just painted our faces all crazy. Our kids loved it. Wyatt saw me and said, "You look cute Mommy". haha. I probably wouldn't have used that adjective but hey he's two.

Here are my little squooshies. Bianca is Tinker Bell this Halloween and Wyatt is a vampire. He refused to wear the cape but he was still cute.

We had a lot of fun this weekend. Aside from everybody being sick, I really love October. Bianca has a class Halloween celebration and they are having a costume parade so it should be a fun week.
