The Sickies

It feels like we've been in pajamas for the last two weeks. The 2nd week of October Bianca came down with a fever and hacking cough. We think it might have been the swine flu, just because flu season hasn't started yet. I was really worried about her but it was only 2 days of yuckiness and then she started to feel better. She still has a cough but she is back to acting her old silly self. She missed a whole week of school but I took her back today and she was so excited. She really loves preschool.



I felt so lucky that Wyatt didn't get what she had but then a few nights ago he came down with a fever and cough. I thought it was the same thing until his cough started to sound terrible.

I took him into the Dr. at 8:00 p.m. The office has been slammed lately with sick kids but at least they saw him that day. Turns out that he got croup. The Dr. prescribed steroids to help with inflammation in his chest and throat. He slept really well the first night. He fell asleep on me on the couch in a funny position. I think this is the first time I've seen him sleeping without his pacifier in his mouth for a while. I had to snap a shot of my baby boy.


Today is day three of taking the steroids and he seems to be doing much better. Still coughing but it's more productive and he is back to playing and talking up a storm. I got these little pumpkins at walmart for the kids to decorate and he takes his outside and sets it by the door next to Bianca's. Then a few minutes later he goes and gets it and brings it back to color some more. I think he just loved it that I let him use a sharpie.
