Wyatt is now 18 months and he's getting quite the personality. In the picture above he was helping me clean. In the middle of my cleaning I had to put Bianca in time out in the corner and so he followed her lead. He is a major copy cat, even when it comes to punishment. (: If anyone coughs, at our house, out in public, he will cough. When Eric and I are watching a movie and one of us laughs, he laughs. You get the point. Another thing he is doing a lot of is talking. As a friend of mine would call the language, "swahili". Where he jabbers about something in an unknown tongue. He tells me stories like you wouldn't believe. Especially in the morning. Maybe he's telling me about his dreams. Here are the words he uses that I can understand: Mommy, Dada, Naca (Bianca), ball, bawoon, oockie (cookie),uh oh, oh man (when he drops something), ilkie (milk), bye bye, no waundry (no laundry, when the dryer beeps that's what we say) and hi. He will bring his shoes to me when he wants to go and say, bye, bye. And he says most of these words in a raised voice like he is asking a question. He is also becoming aware of things that scare him and he will run to me. The witch in snow white scares him, and so do the wiggles. haha. JK about that last part. I can't believe how big he is now! Usually when he talks to me I can kind of understand the idea behind it. Like a lot of times he tries to get me to let him into the basement by throwing things down the stairs underneath the door. And he will come to me and point until I follow him and tell him No. But when he just talks to me about something random, I will say, "I don't believe a word you say, or that's a good story Wyatt." The other day Wyatt was talking and Bianca yelled out, "That's crazy talk Wyatt!" So I guess I have said that at one time or another too. And I guess we actually have two mini me's around here.
WHat a cutie. I love it when they try to immitate everything we do, but at the same time it does get old. He's growing up too fast!
ReplyDeleteI too have NO idea what my son says. Usually if he wants ANYTHING he says "AAhh! AaHH! AAHH!" and points to it. At leat Wyatt gives you a generalized "Swahili" idea...good luck!
