Since the cold weather has set in, we have followed suit. Those of you who know me well know that I really hate to be cold, and unfortunately for me, I get cold easily. I carry electric heaters around the house with me and have the fireplace on 24/7. I even put off getting the mail and just let Eric get it when he gets home from work. I'm such a wuss. Anyway it looks like my kids have followed my lead. Our fridge is bare and I was trying to get them to go to Walmart with me this afternoon. Bianca was so stubborn, she said, "When the ice is gone we can go to the store Mommy." I told her that if we waited for the ice to melt before we went we would starve. Which isn't really true because we have food storage but I was trying to persuade her. She would not give in and I wasn't up for the fight so we stayed home.
So now comes the turkey part.... I'm talking on the phone to Eric and Bianca comes into the room wearing a star wars shirt that Eric got her for Christmas. And she says to me, "Mommy, thank you sooooo much, I love it." What in the world! Come to find out that she had seen one of her smaller presents under the tree, taken it into the bathroom and opened it. She even tried to hide the evidence of the wrapping paper by putting it under the bathroom sink. I guess she didn't think about the fact that she was wearing what was inside. I said, Bianca you are not supposed to be opening presents early! To which she replied, "Oh, Mommy, you are such a little turkey!" ( I usually call her that when she says or does something silly.) I couldn't help but laugh. The girl cracks me up.
That is hilarious! I love the cute things that our kids say.
