#4 - Forgiveness
I'm thankful for forgiveness. That people have forgiven me in the past for my mistakes and that I have been able to forgive people who have wronged me. There is a saying that goes something like this: holding a grudge against someone is like drinking poison and then expecting your enemy to die. I think when we don't forgive we really are the ones who suffer. When I think of my past and some mistakes I have made I am so glad that I was able to repent of those things and feel that burden off of my shoulders. I know that this is only made possible through the atonement of Christ. I'm grateful for Him and His love for me. I can always work on being better at forgiving others, I'm sure all of us can. Also when we've done all we can we have to learn to forgive ourselves. That's a hard thing to do sometimes. I'm grateful to love my husband enough to not be able to be mad at him for very long, he's easy to forgive. Ultimately, forgiveness is so important because it's what will get us back to live with God again. Only if our sins are forgiven, can we be with Him after this life. This is a great gift and I'm thankful for it.
