#1 - Good Health

This week I'm going to be cheesy and make a post every day about what I am thankful for. But seriously I think it's important to remember all the things we are blessed with in life and who those blessings come from. So to begin I will start by saying I am thankful for my health. I recently recovered from the flu and it made me realize some things. First, it reminded me why I don't want to be pregnant again (nausea). Second, it made me realize how helpless I am. It only lasted 5 days but it was significant to me. I lost 3 pounds and wasn't able to do even little things around the house. The only thing that is worse than being sick, is being sick while having to take care of kids. I can't imagine how it would be to feel like that all the time or to be tired all the time or have some other kind of chronic illness. It gave me a new well of compassion for those people who suffer with illnesses.I wasn't able to teach my Sunday school class last week and as this Sunday approached I told the Lord that I am willing but He would have to make me able. He did, Saturday I finally kicked the nausea and felt alive again. And so I am very grateful for being able. Being able to take care of myself and my children. Being able to teach the gospel, and enjoy my life. And I'm especially grateful that I got over this flu before Thanksgiving. I really am looking forward to that food. (:
