Worth every penny

I don't usually pay too much attention to prices when I shop. My husband is the price guru and so he will point out the expensive things, then I will stop buying them, and switch to the cheaper brand. I don't have many reservations about buying the store brand usually but recently I have found myself fighting for the expensive brand on a couple of things because they really are worth every penny. Here are a few examples:

Ecce Panis light sourdough bread. The best sourdough I've ever tasted, and I've tasted a lot. I love good and this is a keeper. I found at Kroger in the bakery section for $4.00 for a round loaf. Sooooo worth it.

I've worn contacts since I was about 11 I think. My eyes are chronically dry and oxygen deprived. I used to come home after work and take my contacts out immediately and put glasses on. That was before I tried Acuvue Oasys. I tried to go back to the Acuvue 2 after a trial pair of these and it was such a huge difference. If you wear contacts you have to try these. My eyes don't feel dry or irritate me at all. I love these contacts, definetely worth the extra money.

I love croutons but haven't found any that I really like for a while. Eric fell upon a bag of them at Costco and decided to bring them home. Once I tasted them I was in love. I will eat these just for a snack. The brand is Nonni, and they are called Focaccia parmesan croutons. To die for. I will make salad just to eat these in it.

We have tried every diaper out there. With Bianca we used white cloud and they worked fine but then they switched the brand ended up being just as expensive as the rest. Then came Wyatt and he is a pee er. He soaks his diapers. I usually have to change him at least once during the night. But not with these diapers. So we still use the cheaper ones sometimes for the day and get these for Wyatt at night. And when our budget allows for the month, we will choose these over any other diaper.

I don't know if this is super expensive, I just wanted to put it on here because I love the smell. I clean my bathroom just to have this smell in our room. It's almost like perfume or cologne. So if it is more money than the other brands I would still choose it, just because of that.

  3. Next time I go to Costco I'm going to look for those croutons!

I agree, some items you have to buy name brand.

  4. Some things are definitely worth it. That bread looks delish. I wonder if they sell it out here in my neck of the woods. Just reading about those croutons is making me want to whip up a salad. Have you tried Newman's Own salad dressings? I love the three cheese balsamic, but maybe that's just me. :)

Even Acuvue's Oasys lenses couldn't do it for me. I'm now four-eyes forever (or until we can afford surgery...).

  5. I am so with you on the pampers! I would also recommend avoiding the Walmart brand wipes (Parent's Choice) - they are hard as cardboard! Good bread is always worth the extra penny! I think it is the small things in life - like a good smelling clean bathroom - that make things so much more bearable!
