Wyatt turned 3 on Wednesday, doesn't he look so grown up! JK. For some unknown reason he really wanted an Elmo cake for his birthday. I was getting all geared up to do a balloon one but he asked for Elmo. I guess this goes to show how much TV really does influence our kids! Oh wait, he doesn't watch anything with Elmo in it? Anyway Elmo it was. He was thrilled. And it was fun for me to make.

I took him to Toys R Us on his big day, he was so excited to get a Toys R Us balloon like his sister did on her birthday. He didn't even care about picking out a toy. Unfortunately they were out of balloons that day, so sad. Wyatt really was bummed. But Daddy made up for that later. I got him these balloons at Toys R Us, which he loved and then.....

Eric brought these home later. The blue one that isn't in the air anymore was HUGE, bigger than Wyatt. He was going crazy when he saw them.

Wyatt is really showing his personality lately. The other day he spit some gum in my hand, I told him that he knows where the trash can is and he replied, "No, you are my trash can Mommy" and then laughed. Or one time he was watching Caillou and told me that he has a small mouth, like Caillou.. LOL. He has also started to do something that a lot of little boys do where he falls down or does something silly to make a girl laugh. He mostly does this with his sister but I caught him doing it with a friend the other day too.
He's talking a ton. I mean mostly non stop. Today at a Dr's appointment he got a sucker when he left and he talked about it the whole way home. How he loves green, and he said, "I'm a lucky boy today, I just love suckers." ect ect. Very cute. At least most of the time he doesn't expect a response but when he does he won't let me get away with not giving him one. He will say "Mommy, say OK!, or say Yes!" or whatever he wants me to say.
Potty training is still iffy. He can do it, he just doesn't always want to. I haven't taken the diapers away completely during the day yet. Another thing about him is he's a lover. He's constantly coming up to me and kissing me, on my leg, or on my cheek. He loves to be held and hugged. I can love him out of almost any tantrum. He's my boy and now insists on being called a BIG BOY! We are grateful to have him in our family and love him to bits. Happy Birthday BIG BOY!
And wasn't there another very special birthday in the family?
