CA Trip

Phew, just downloaded all the pics for this post, it's gonna be a long one. So we went to CA on July 4th. The kids knew that we were going on two planes. The first flight wasn't bad, about 2 hours. The second was almost 4 so they started to get a little cranky on that one. I took my zofran with me and was doing OK. I still felt nauseated but was able to keep food down and concentrate on the traveling. When we stepped outside the airport in CA I was hit by a cold breeze. I wasn't too surprised because we flew into San Diego which tends to be about 10 degrees cooler than Orange County, plus it was in the evening so I was like whatever. However the next couple of days were kind of a bummer weather wise. The first thing we wanted to do was hit the beach but since the weather was cold, we just went to eat at Ruby's on the pier. So here are the only beach pics we got, and I am sad to admit that we never went back.

Here is Wyatt, my Step Mom Jenae, and Eric and Bianca on the pier with their jackets. I didn't even bring a jacket, but thank goodness I brought one "just in case" for the kids.

After we visited with my Dad for a few days we went up to stay at our hotel in Anaheim and visited with my Mom. Here she is with the kids. They had a great time catching up.

The first ride we went on at Disneyland was the buzz lightyear one. Eric took Bianca to see the movie and when she found out they had a ride that had to do with toy story she wanted to go on that one first. Good thing we did, it was super crowded later in the day. Wyatt cried through the whole thing the first time but after he got used to knowing how the rides are at Disneyland he loved it. By the last day he was shooting all the bad guys like everyone else.

Here is my cute little family so happy to be back at Disneyland. (Especially Daddy). (:

Bianca loved going on this storybook land ride too. Last year she was too scared to go on it this year she braved it and was pleasantly surprised at all the little replicas of princess castles. We went twice, which trust me was more than enough times to go in three days.

Inside the whales mouth.

One of the replica's, Jasmin's palace.

We met the princesses again. Bonk really wanted to meet Tiana. She was there but the pic is super blurry. ): So here is second best, Belle. Wyatt acted like she was some scary monster of course. I don't think he's ever seen that much makeup. Just kidding. She was lovely.

Small world continues to be Wyatt's favorite ride.

Bianca's face on small world.

Wyatt on small world.
Wyatt was dying to get a "tickey mouse balloon". We FINALLY got him one at the end of the first day and then he proceeded to conk out. This was the kids after the first day, at the hotel that night.

We went to see Tinker Bell in Pixie Hollow, but apparently she was out tinkering so we met Irradesa instead. She was nice too and Bianca seemed to be content.

OK Awesome that they brought back Captain EO! The kids and I loved it. They were dancing to the music out front before the presentation started. They got lots of laughs and applause.

The kids on tea cups. I wasn't going near those pups. Blah....

My sister Mandy and her hub Ben came out to go to Disney with us as well and stayed at my Dad's with us. We LOVE spending time with them. Sorry for this lame pic guys, send me a better one that you have from the trip!

Then after Disneyland it was back to Grandpa Randy's. Here is my Dad with Wyatt. He was really good with him.
One of the highlights of Grandpa Randy's house is the jetted tub in their room. They got lost in the bubbles and loved every minute of it.

The day before we left we went to Legoland. It was fun but not really what we expected. I mean we thought it was geared for little kids so we were excited for Wyatt to ride all the rides but honestly I think he rode more at Disneyland. They measured him before EVERY freakin ride and some rides you had to be a certain age so it was kind of a pain but whatever the kids seemed to enjoy themselves. The people and cars made of legos were impressive.

We went on this pirate ride where you can supposedly shoot other riders with water. But what it comes down to is you are a moving target for little brats outside of the ride who stand there with their water guns and spray you for the entire ride while you can't even spray them back. Ugh, seriously I was about to have words with one kid after I got off. I know they're just having fun but seriously, I was soaked.

They had a lot of little carnival type rides.

Then towards the end of the day we found two really fun ones. This tower you pull the rope on to go up and then let go to fall down and it doesn't fall super fast so it's really fun.

Bonk on a little lego train...

Daddy's ready to go home I think...

A little airplane ride there that we went on twice. That was one Wyatt could actually go on by himself.

We had a great time but I'm happy to be home and I can safely say, we won't be traveling for a while again. Trips are always fun but man they take a lot out of you!
Love ya Cali. Thanks everyone who we saw, all the fam for making the kids and I so welcome. We made a lot of memories.
