Happy Birthday Bonk!
My baby girl turned 5 yesterday! I can't believe how time flies. When we have birthdays, this includes Eric and I, we call it our special day and we get to choose all the foods and activities that we want for the day.
So since it was Bianca's special day she decided to start off with some nuggets and fries for breakfast.
Then she opened her presents. One thing we got her was doll furniture for her castle which her brother went to play with straight away.
The other thing she wanted was a scooter. She uses scooters at her preschool and has never really loved bikes so we gave in to her wishes and got her a razor. I was worried at first when she tried it out because it only has the two wheels. The ones at her school have two in back and then one in front like a training scooter so this one is going to take some practice. She's been practicing 24/7 in our kitchen on the hardwood floor and I'm going to take her out to a flat parking lot to practice more. I tried it out and it's a pretty smooth ride, very nice.
After presents we took her to toys r us to get another present from grandma and grandpa. She chose a zhu zhu pet car which is basically crap because the thing stays in the car for about 2.2 seconds before it backs out of it. Anyway she was happy enough with it.
After that she chose to eat lunch at McDonalds. Then it was off to school with Daddy. Eric took the day off work to make her day extra special and she had previously been asking when he could come to be her teacher helper. They went to school and brought Tiana cupcakes for snack. After school she wanted to go to the Zoo, so off we went. It was beautiful there, it's a zoo and botanical garden and this time I really appreciated the flowers. I've never been there during Spring. There were millions of tulips everywhere, unfortunately I didn't take the camera. So we had a great time at the zoo and then had pizza for dinner, per Bianca's request again of course. Then we jumped on the bed, did baths, watched Batman and then off to Bed. I think we were as tired as Bianca by 8:00. But it was a fun day for everyone, especially for our little girl. We love you forever birthday girl!!!!! And no matter how old you get you'll always be our little Bonk.

yeah happy birthday bonk!
ReplyDeleteI love her name! So pretty and fitting for a princess!
ReplyDeleteI am glad to hear you didn't like the zhu zhu pets. They were such the craze at Christmas, but Santa's budget was spent by the time my daughter asked for one. I considered having the Easter bunny bring one, in particular the car one too, but I never got around to it...guess it's better that way now.
