We had Bianca's 5th birthday party today and it was a blast. She wanted a Princess and the Frog party so that's what she got! Here are the little princesses and frogs. She had some of her best friends from school, tee ball, some church friends and her baby brother of course. Wow, I think we got Jack in mid air there!

They played pin the kiss on the frog. Here is Matty feeling his way to the poster board. Smartie pants.

Here are all the kids lined up waiting their turn for the game.

As soon as the kids masks were taken off Bianca was right up in there face waiting to show them where they had put their lips. Some of the placements made her laugh really hard. We're laughing with you not "at" you right Bonk? (:

Something Bianca always likes to have at her party's is an Easter egg hunt. Maybe because her birthday is so close to Easter. Here are the kids looking over their treats.

And here is my proud moment. (: I wanted to make the cake special this year for Bianca. My Sister had taken some cake decorating classes and shown me some of her creations which inspired me. It was so much fun to do! Luckily I have a friend who had all these fun frosting tips and colors to lend. Thanks Rachel! And I copied this design from one I saw on the web so don't give me too much credit. (: I put her little toy frogs on the lily pads, if you click on the pic you can see them better.

Here is the birthday girl blowing out her candles.

And chatting with friends...

This is a view of the room we decorated before everyone came over. Needless to say Wyatt was beyond thrilled with all the balloons. He's been playing and talking about them NONSTOP all day today.

Then it was time for presents. Bianca got some great gifts, including the cutest Tiana t-shirt and a baby doll that you can take in the bath. Apparently she isn't too old for dolls, she loves it.

After my kids open their presents I like them to give the friend who gave them the present a hug. She definitely got some good ones in. Here she is lifting Madelyn.

And with her good friend Natalie from school. Aww, so sweet.

Wyatt has had a hard couple of days accepting that Bianca gets the spotlight but the balloons made all the difference. He has been singing Happy Birthday to Gaca all day and enjoying the decorations while he can.

And last but not least the Birthday Interview. I got this idea from you Alisha, I hope you don't mind!
I asked Bianca what some of her favorite things were:
- snack: banana, (whatever she is such a junk food junkie, she just said this to look good. (:)
- t.v. show: Batman, the Brave and the Bold
- fun place to go: school (surprising considering she never wants to go?!)
- best friend: Jackson (a boy she likes in school, he came to her party)
- game: Mario Brothers on the Wii
What do you want to be when you grow up: Dentist (that's my girl!)
Who do you want to marry someday?: Wyatt (her brother, hopefully her preferences change soon)
how cute! she is getting so big- that party is so cute! and I love how she looks in her green dress- she is such a doll- yeah that cake is the bomb! Good job Liz! I wish we could have been there! We love you bonk!
ReplyDeleteLook at those cake decorating skills! I love it :) Happy Birthday B...anca (in luci's words).
ReplyDeletei like the balloons hanging off of the chairs. nice touch.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun party! We have yet to see that movie...I was on bed rest when it came out and I've promised my daughter, Lauren we'd just buy the movie! I am sure it's cute enough to add to our collection.
ReplyDeleteI am impressed with your cake decorating! Years ago, I used to be really really upset that I couldn't make good-looking cakes. (they taste good, but are pretty boring to look at!) After years of trying and failing, I finally allowed myself to have one talent I didn't succeed in mastering. It was a very pivotal and freeing moment. Silly, I know, but true. :) And now, I just leave the cake decorating to the good people in the Albertson's bakery.
