Eric's sister Valerie got married this weekend. Congrats Val and Chad! So he was in Livermore, CA until Sunday night. Bianca has never missed him so much. She actually cried the morning that he left. I mean, not just whining, like went up to her room, closed the door, and cried real tears. It was heart breaking! Although I did think it was strange in a way since Eric is never home during the days anyway, but that day was different, because she knew he wasn't coming back that night. I reminded her of her Daddy's promise of returning with a pink care bear (per her request) and that seemed to cheer her up a bit.Memorial Day we went to our church barbecue at the park where they have it every year. It was a good feeling going back there. If you look back in this blog you'll see this was the first church event we attended when we first moved here. I can't believe we've been here a year already! It was kind of a rainy day but warm. The kids were a lovely wet mess by the time we got to the car but we had a great time.
Here is Eric with one of his best bud's Garret. They get a long very well and are always joking about something, although I'm not sure what it is half the time. Hey I can admit it! haha. Oh and don't forget baby Rivers. Cutie pie.
So Wyatt has this new hat. He started to want to wear Eric's baseball caps around the house so I decided to get him a hat that fit. He chose this one at Old Navy and when I say chose I mean he grabbed it, and would not let go. Every time we go out he gets it now. Today it got so wet that I put it in the laundry room and he was upset when we went out later and he didn't have it. He kept hitting his head and saying, "hat, hat..."
I wanted to post this pic so you can see his little curly hair out the back of his hat. I love it.
And yet, another swing picture. Can you tell he loves the swing. He was in there for a while.
Bianca's new thing is hair chewing. Ewwww. She now gets to have her hair washed every day due to this habit. She always has a lock of hair in her mouth, sometimes one from both sides of her head. Ugh. And you can see next to her, her stuffed animals. She is really into taking care of them. She buckles them into a seatbelt. Takes them everywhere. Especially bear. It's cute, just kind of a pain when she says it's bears turn in the stroller or swing when Wyatt wants to get in. I have to keep reminding her that he's not a person, he doesn't need a turn, but she argues every time.
Oh and on Saturday we went to an awesome little parade. It reminded me a lot of watching small town parades in the town I was born in. It had clowns, tractors, fire trucks, candy. I don't have any pictures bc one of the kids erased them all accidentally but it was super fun. Overall, we had a really good time this holiday weekend.
Yes! I made the blog! It's like winning an academy award, but without the statue. Liz made beans for the Memorial Day picnic. They were magical.

that's awesome- wyatts little hat is the bomb- im surprised he likes hats so much- hair chewing- I remember doing that- and taking care of my dolls- I remember every day when I left for school I would tell mom to make sure to feed, wash, burp, and put all my dolls down for a nap- don't worry- it's just a phase:)
