Mc Barfbag

Last night we went to McDonalds to get a "fudgie" as Bianca calls it. Hot fudge Sundae's. Wyatt had gotten his first case of the flu Saturday night but he was acting normal all day so we thought it would be nice for him to get out of the house. So we are standing in line and Eric ordered the food and just then Wyatt proceeded to throw up all over the place, the floor mostly and me. I didn't know what to do I just stood there and let him get it all out. Then I took him into the bathroom and cleaned us up.
I remember as a kid throwing up in random places, like the mall, but I have never been on the other end of that, being the adult in charge in that situation. It was embarressing and I felt bad, I mean we basically went to McDonalds, threw up, and left. I think we may be blacklisted from that particular one now. But mostly I felt bad for Wyatt and Bianca. Of course she started to gag from seeing Wyatt throw up and he got some on her so we took her sweatshirt off. So we took the kids to the car, it was 30 degrees outside and none of us had sweatshirts cuz they were all barfy so we are all shivering and Eric is driving home as fast as he can. Luckily we don't live far from that McDonalds.
Poor Wyatt. We all got the flu in November except for him. Now I'm hoping that Bianca doesn't get it. I've been waking up at any little noise at night, my heart starts to race and I listen closer to see if it's Bianca or Wyatt, worrying that one of them is throwing up. There is really no sense in worrying, either it will happen or not but I seem to wait for it at night, thinking I'll somehow be more prepared. Ugh. So needless to say, we are all pretty tired and Wyatt is still sick. Hopefully this will be over soon. Next time we go to McDonalds and someone is sick, I'll start my order out asking for a McBarfbag first just in case.

  1. So sorry Liz! Puking is the worst. I hope Wyatt gets better soon and everyone else stays well. We are really looking forward to getting together once Wyatt is well and I get better. I don't want to give you more germs to deal with!

  2. Why is puking so funny :) I'm laughing a lot, but McBarfbag - that's fantastic. We use Mc as a prefix a lot around here (I guess a lot of people do that) Kate is Tiny McSmall, Spencer used to call me McPukester when I was prego, you get the idea. But of course it means something different when you're actually at McDonalds.

  5. Oh that is too bad. I have had my kids barf on me before, not fun. And especially not fun in a public place like that. I remember we took the kids to an ice cream place when the babies were little. We had fed and left the babies in their car seats on the floor by us as we ate. Poor little Ben had had a fever earlier, and he just puked right there in his car seat. You can't really stop the flow as you know. So we pulled him out and took his clothes off. Luckily we had one blanket that wasn't ruined and we wrapped that around him. we moved the car seat to clean it and get it out of the way and there was a huge puke puddle under him. Yuck! We used a lot of paper towels.
