Since we've moved I haven't been able to find any of my old Thanksgiving decorations. No biggie I thought, I can just go buy some at Walmart or wherever. WRONG! I've been to the dollar store, Walmart, Kroger, even Michaels, no Thanksgiving decor to be found. I asked at Walmart and they told me they basically go from Halloween straight to Christmas now. So sad. I love those little paper turkeys you can open up and they look like a fan to put as a centerpiece on the table (see pic above). I think it is sad that there are more decorations for Halloween. I do like Halloween but how can you just pass over Thanksgiving! It's one of my favorite holidays, when the family gets together, and I love the food. Also a good thing to do is remember all the things and people in life you are grateful for. Maybe I'll try Hobby Lobby, I haven't lost all hope yet.
THAT STINKS! WE HAVE THANKSGIVING STUFF EVERYWHERE- HOWEVER THEY ARE PLAYING CHRISTMAS MUSIC IN STORES NOW! i'M SORRY- WELL IF YOU CAN'T FIND ANYTHING LET ME KNOW- I'LL SEND THEM TO YOU:)
ReplyDeleteI hear you. I walked in to walmart just saturday and almost ran into a Christmas tree they had set up. I'm a big believer in waiting for Thanksgiving to happen, although I really do enjoy everything about Christmas. We do need to remember to be thankful.
