Crafts

Bianca likes to get into phases of things. For example she used to line up all her little people when she was about one year old and she did that for a while. Some phases last longer than others. Right now she is keen on "crafts". We started reading the Friend to her (it's a kids magazine that our church publishes), and they have activities in there where you cut out a picture and glue it onto construction paper. I did it with her about a week or so ago and since then she has been doing crafts all day every day. Here are a couple:




I got her a pair of kids scissors and she cuts peices of paper out for me and then asks me to glue them, then put stickers on.















This is her starting bright and early one morning. I'm not kidding when I say she does this ALL day.
Some things about her that I've noticed lately is that she remembers everything. I think she got this from her Daddy. I always say the reason he's so smart is because he can remember so much. She is also very observant and listens to what people say. She remembers and tells me things that grandma and haga say, like, I was dressing her the other day and afterwards she said, "there, I'm all set." I had never heard her say that before and so I asked where she heard that and she replied, "That's what grama says when she dresses me." Also we took my parents to dinner out here to a restaurant we have never been to. The other day we were driving by it and she said, "We went there with Grampa Randy." Another thing she says to me all the time is "Mommy, take your pony out" (when my hair is up). She says, "You aren't Mommy" and after I take it out she says "There you are". She doesn't like it when I look different. Some things we've been doing lately are I took her to swimming lessons. She was too afraid to get in the big pool so we went to the baby pool and I taught her how to swim a little and hold her breath. Maybe we'll try swim lessons again next year. She also loves to play hide and seek with me at home. She'll count and I will hide in a semi-obvious place and when she finds me she screams and says "Again, again!" I use this blog as kind of a journal so sorry if this was a novel but this is stuff I want to remember. (: I love my little girl and we have a lot of fun together. Update on potty training is: She is scared to death of the big potty, so she does well at home but not when we are out. We are still working on it.
