Bianca has started to read her books outloud to us/herself/Wyatt all the time. Here she is reading at lunch time. This is a book that we have read to her since she was a year old called Yummy, Yucky. She loves it. It's so cute to hear her read and sometimes when you catch her she gets all shy about it. Somehow too, she has learned her numbers. Maybe thanks to us reading to her, maybe from playhouse disney, not sure maybe a little of both but the other day we were in the furniture store shopping for a new couch and she was reading all the price tags. Just one number at a time of course but she recognized them. She gets the 2 and 7 confused sometimes but she is really good at recognizing 3 and 9. She's a little smartie. She is also expressing herself a lot more too. Tonight Wyatt passed gas and she said, "Something smells awful! Go change Wyatt Mommy. He pooped his diaper." It was funny. Very observant too, she went to see Grandpa this morning and he didn't have his glasses on and she said, "Haga (her word for Grandpa) isn't haga yet" and then proceeded to fetch him his glasses." Another thing she is is thoughtful. She wants to include everyone in activities. Grandma calls her the sheep dog. She herds everyone together. And when she has a snack, she passes some out to everyone. She does that with everything. And she will never leave anybody out. I think if she had her way she would lock everyone that she loves in one room forever. The more the merrier. So that is my little bragging section on my girl. Now the downside, she has started to throw these terrible tantrums. At bedtime, naptime, bathtime, dinnertime. It takes forever to get her to do anything, she says "Just a minute, or I'm not ready yet" so tonight it took her about 20 minutes to get into the bath and then about 30 to get her out. UGH. It feels like we have a battle with her at least twice a day and she's a good girl! I don't know what's going on. Maybe it's the changes with the move or her age. Who knows, we deal with it correctly I think by time out's and then talking about it. It's just a rough thing. Anyways, that's the 411 with Bianca right now. Our little 3 year old.
shes so cute. I forgot she was three- geez that's crazy- she is so smart! I guess she uses that against you sometimes when she wants her way:) like bathtime etc... well good luck- she is a beautiful, smart little one.
ReplyDeleteFunny, they say "terrible twos" but I think three's a lot harder in some ways. But how exciting to see her progress with reading and numbers!
