Strep Rash?

Bianca had the flu last Monday, or so we thought. She had a fever, threw up a couple of times and had diarrhea. She also has recurring yeast infections and her diaper rash was terrible, on account of the flu, we thought. BUT, her bum was getting really bad by about Wednesday, bloody and peeling. We decided to take her into the Dr. He looked at it right away and knew that she had strep throat. He took a culture of her throat and it was positive.I had no idea that toddlers would show signs of strep in their diaper rash. I was so glad that we took her in.
Same day, I decided to go to the Dr. to get a strep test as I had a sore throat, that also came out positive. I came home and started taking the antibiotics, that night I was up all night with vomiting and diarrhea. I'm not sure if we both got the flu and strep or what but it has been a terrible week. Main reason for this post: if your kid has bad diaper rash, take them to the Dr. It could be more serious than you think.
