Conversation Hearts

Bianca has started to have little conversations with me. She is comprehending everything now, even when I think she isn't listening. The other night Eric was teasing her and tickling her before bed and I said to him and Bianca, "You guys need to calm down now," (mostly referring to Eric) To which Bianca replied, "It's not my fault Mommy, I'm trying!" I thought that was hilarious.
Today in the car on the way back from errands we were talking about her favorite songs and the things she likes to do and I realized that I'm not used to talking while driving, I was more used to silence, or whining, not having to actually engage in conversation. It really tugs at my heart, she is growing up so fast. It's fun though too, to hear her thoughts and feelings. Her favorite CD to listen to in the car right now is the Brady Bunch. She told me that one of the songs on it was her favorite. So I asked her, "are you sure that one is your favorite?" and she said, "Well, I still like "teach me" the most but I like this one too Mommy." Ohhh my little kiddies, I look at the two of them and love them so much, and I think to myself, please don't make me want another one.......

  1. that's great! I know what you mean- it's sort of sad. I remember when she was just a baby and couldn't even roll over. Oh it will be interesting to watch her grow. Cutest kids.

  2. How fun. It's strange when you realize that you can have a conversation with the little ones. Now I feel like Sienna has always been able to talk. They are too fun!

  4. They are both growing up so fast! I definitely know what you mean about it tugging at your heart--sweet but sad, too. They are so much work, but so worth it! Good luck avoiding a third one... maybe reading all my complaining and grumbling with this third pregnancy will help! ;)
