Baby Story

Hi all, it's me. I'm home now and feeling pretty good except for the massive headache I have from the spinal block. I went to the Dr. today to get my staples removed and he gave me a prescription for the headache.
So the story is that I kept telling Eric that I felt like the baby would come around his birthday and he did. 5 am on the 21st of July, a day before Eric's birthday my water broke. I went in and tried to labor for 3 hours. I wasn't progressing well again so the Dr. asked what I wanted to do, he was going to give me pitocin but my other Dr. said that would increase the risk of uterine rupture so I told him I would rather not do that and just do the c-section instead.
The spinal was the worst part because the anesthiologist had to do it twice. I was sitting in the operating room with my head down and my back exposed and the Dr. stuck the numbing needle in first and it hurt like a mother, then he had to do it again! After that it was smooth sailing, I couldn't feel the pain only the Dr's moving me around doing the surgery. It's a weird feeling. The surgery took longer than the last time because they removed my last scar. ewww I know. But my incision looks much nicer now (like I care how it looks).
I missed my girl when I was in the hospital and she had a hard time too. I begged to go home early and the Dr. let me because I was recovering so well. SInce I've been home Bianca has been very happy and good with the baby too. She loves him and gives him kisses and wants to see him all the time and help with everything. It's been hard for me to do much since my head hurts so bad, I mean the pain is as bad as labor contractions. Eric is doing everything and my mother in law has been helping alot too with dishes ect. Eric is such a blessing to me, taking such good care of me, the baby and Bianca. Things are getting better each day as we are learning how to juggle the two kids and the house. Just say a prayer for me that my headache will go away completely, that is the hardest thing right now.
We should be sending out the announcements soon. Hope you all are well and thanks in advance for your prayers.
Love Liz

  2. Congratulations on your beautiful baby boy! I've been away from the blogging world for awhile and I come back to find such sweet pictures of your new arrival. I'm glad everything went smoothly, but that's tough about the headache. I've heard those spinal ones can be pretty painful. Hope it doesn't linger long, so you can get on with enjoying your new little bundle of joy. I'll pray for you. :)
